Gun Lake Casino

1. Why is this location important? The Casino is the western gateway to the Byway. It is open year-round and is accessible to the general public. Age-restrictions apply related to gambling and alcohol.
2. How do the resources shown in this photo help to tell the Byway’s story? Anybody who has driven on US-131 knows about the Casino because of this large electronic sign. A modern landmark. The Gun Lake Tribe is a big part of the Byway’s present and past history.

The Steering Committee is chaired by a representative of the Tribe.
